The goals of the Banjaluka Centre for Human Rights are especially achieved through organized activities aimed to inform the people about their rights before courts and other institutions, and by helping citizens whose human rights have been violated according to the laws and constitutions of Republika Srpska, Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as international legal documents which are applied in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Centre works to encourage the respect of human rights and to inform/educate the citizens and the public. By raising awareness of the citizens about the content and protection of human rights, especially human rights protected by the European Convention of Human Rights, all members of the Centre strive to increase the citizens’ knowledge on human rights which are granted by birth.
By improving the understanding of public institutions, non-governmental bodies and organizations for human rights’ protection, fostering cooperation between people and communities and free communication between them regarding human rights, the Banjaluka Centre for Human Rights wants to improve the attitude towards human rights in this part of Europe.
In order to achieve its goals, the Banjaluka Centre for Human Rights organizes various activities in the field of human rights, democracy and the rule of law.
